Well, here we are. You and I. Each of us knowing about the same amount of information about Ying Ying. From looking at the cover photo, she might have been the Cantonese Leslie Gore. But I have no idea, and Lady Internet just isn't putting out tonight. So enjoy these tunes. The first song has a Latin cruise ship vibe. The second is more Oriental. I'm guessing that the fabulous Ying
Ying was a former "comfort girl" for the japanese occupiers of China
in the 40's, got over it, found a
sugar daddy like pia zadora to start her career, and became a huge star in yokahama and yomaomomma. As she aged, her opportunities shrank, along with
her breasts, and she went to LA,
was discovered by James Komack, who renamed her Miyoshi Umeki,
and gave her a supporting role in
"the courtship of Mr. eddie's father"......I may be wrong about all this, so please don't quote me.
